Reed is all about reading right now. He wants to read, read, read. He is a sight-reader (as opposed to sounding it out). I am constantly amazed at words that he knows. For instance- he read me an entire book today with words like "everywhere" and "imagination", but he is continually stumped on "is" and "in". (Here Reed had finished putting all these little puzzles together that he got for Christmas- each one spells out a word when you put it together.)

Clare is all about walking. If she falls down, she gets right back up and keeps going. She refuses to crawl anymore, despite Reed trying to get her to have crawling races like they used to do. She also likes to carry things around. HEAVY things. Her friend Mason is doing the same thing, so maybe it's a 15 month old thing? (Clare is playing with Mason's vacuum here.)

I took Clare to see an ENT yesterday. Since she has had fluid in her ears since mid-October an continual ear infections, we assume she may need tubes to clear it up. The ENT found that she currently has both ears infected. He's not sure if her infection has ever really cleared up. So we're trying a new medicine and we go back in 10 days to check. If it DOES clear up and then she gets another infection, we'll see about tubes. But if it's just a nasty infection that is resistant to the meds she's been on, she may be fine after we finally get rid of it. We'll see....
