Big Brother

Clare was making her little baby sounds yesterday and Reed said Clare was talking. I asked him what Clare was saying. He listened for a moment and said, "She wants ham." I asked what else she was saying. He listened again and said, "She wants apples. And Reed wants apples too!"

Today at lunch I asked Reed if he liked having a baby sister. He immediately answered, "Yes!" Then he added, "I'd like a brother too." I suddenly lost my appetite! Mommy has NOT healed yet from his sister. It's not likely he'll be getting a brother any time in the near (or maybe far) future!
