This morning we started off with a pastry breakfast on the steps of the Orsay Museum along the Seine River. Then we were one of the first into the Louvre. We headed straight for the Mona Lisa. Personally, I was pretty unimpressed. She is a rather small painting. They have her hung on her own wall in the middle of a room with a glass wall in front of her. The room filled in no time with people coming to see her.
After a couple hours, we walked back and shopped some. Not much an average American can afford in this neighborhood.
We went to Bon Marche this afternoon- a big department store. Then to the Rodin Museum. He sculpted The Thinker. His sculptures are among a beautiful rose garden. Our feet are tired, so we had dinner at a cafe and we are going to rest before going to the Eiffel Tower tonight for a cruise of the Seine.
The weather could not be more perfect-- Greg thought of everything!! :) (We miss our sweet boy, but I hear he's doing well.)
